Employed by Remote, not a third-party

When your company works with Remote, you’ll be employed by one of Remote’s local entities in every country we serve. This gives us greater flexibility and expertise to offer truly localized support.

Remote acts as an employer of record for companies hiring international employees. An EOR takes on the burden of local legal requirements to ensure the client company can employ workers in the area.

Frequently asked questions

Your employment contract will be with the local entity of Remote where you are based. For example, if you are employed in Singapore, then your employment contract will be with our legal entity Remote Tech Singapore Pte. Ltd. Remote employs you locally as the employer of record on behalf of the company you work for. All the business operations and day-to-day of your work is handled by the company you work for. In order to do this, Remote takes on all of the responsibilities, obligations and tasks related to your employment.

Where possible, we use local banks to transfer your salary to you via methods like domestic wire transfers, ACH, or SEPA. If local bank transfers are not available to us in your country and your local currency, you will receive your salary via international wire transfer (SWIFT).

You will receive your salary in the local currency outlined in your employment contract.

Bank transfers for salaries are made on the 25th of each month - you will receive your salary on or before the last working day of each month.

As the Employer of Record, Remote is your local legal employer, and every salary payment will be made by us. The operations and day-to-day of your work is still handled by the company you work for.

Yes - Remote’s local entity contributes to and enrolls you in local social security programs as well as other statutory requirements.

The benefits you receive will depend on the selection made by your employer. This may include private health insurance, bonuses and commissions, or other custom perks.

Remote offers advice on laws that could impact your ability to work in certain countries and what employment options are available for employees. Remote is able to sponsor work visas in some locations. Your employer can find out more and initiate the process through our support team.
